Fist of the North Star: Ken’s Rage 2 street date, details revealed.

Multiple sites are reporting news about Fist of the North Star: Ken’s Rage 2 revealed in the Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu. The details are as follows:

• The game will be titled Shin Hokuto Musou in Japan.
• It’s due for a December 2012 release in Japan.
• The game will feature a graphical style closer to Tetsuo Hara’s drawing style.
• The game features nearly twice the content of its predecessor.
• As hinted in the teaser trailer, the video game will include the Land of Asura arc from Fist of the North Star 2.

Finally received a photo from before Masquerade of our costumes, thanks to Chester Huey. This is by far the best one of both of us together at the moment, since D only wore Shin to the Masquerade itself. Realized that it (or one similar) didn’t get over here to Tumblr. Ooooops.

I really want to take some time to do a proper photoshoot of these two at some point. There are some fixes that we both want to do (most of mine involve the buttflowers and the wig…I really need to get some treatment done to it so it isn’t so prone to tangling) before that time though, and we have another project that we need to finish by year’s end that is going to be at least as challenging as this one.

Sadly, D had trouble with Shin and had to get out of the costume, so he couldn’t join me for the shoot. But I’ll post video of our masquerade entry soon :D 

Hand is cold and cramped up. But the back of the dress (and the bigger side) is pretty much done. I may do some very fine touchups, but not until all the main work is done. 

Tomorrow is the front of the dress and the front of the overshirt.  And then…FINALLY, I can assemble this bad girl. 

Progress is progress! Front side, 2/3 stenciled. You can also see where the third stencil is stuck down and ready to paint.

Hoping to finish stencils tonight or early tomorrow and hope all paint is done by Wednesday AM at latest!

Stenciling started. The space at the bottom is intended, as the design is set up to work with hemming in the front when I get to the final assembly phase, The front hem will more or less dictate how the rest of the dress is hemmed, since the back is trained.

The paint is two layers. The first is a custom-mixed blue-white matte, the second is a opalescent white. The opalescent by itself does not color well and therefore doesn’t stand out against the purple, so it needed that layer to bring it forward.

Once the main stencils are down, I’ll start the detailing phase. Most of that consists of uniting all of the segmented parts (flower stems, etc) and blending them in accordingly, then trimming with blue paint. All goes well, the final assembly will start Wednesday, and will be done by the weekend, leaving only minor details on the menu.

I have to cut the stencil on the shirt but I’m giving my index finger some time off. Cutting the stencils for the skirt caused it to temporarily go numb at the tip. The feeling IS coming back, but gradually. I have to let things fix up because it will be integral to being able to do my handfinishings.
